Núria is since 2021 associate professor at the Faculty of Information and Audiovisual Media (FIMA) at Universitat de Barcelona, president of the Equality Commission at FIMA and co-director of the BiD, an open access journal which publishes articles in the field of information, documentation and communication.

She is currently PI of the research project Women and Wikipedia (W&W), funded by the Plan Nacional I+D+I of the Ministry of Science and Innovation of Spain (Ref. PID2020-116936RA-I00/AEI/10.13039/501100011033).

She holds a European Ph.D. in Information Science (Universitat de Barcelona, 2010), Master degree in Information and Knowledge society (IN3-UOC, 2005) and Bachelors in Information and Documentation (2003, UOC) and Journalism (1998, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, UAB).

From January 2002 she worked at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, firstly at the Virtual Library and at 2005 as an associated lecturer at the Information and Communication Faculty. She has been part-time lecturer at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Universitat de Barcelona (UB) and Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF).

Her teaching activities mainly concentrate on user experience (UX) and interaction design (IxD) at the Bachelors degrees of Audiovisual Communication and Information and Digital Documentation. She is also in charge of the coordination of the Master Thesis Projects (TFMs) of the Master in Digital Humanities.

She was visiting researcher at the Information School at Sheffield University (2009, UK) and  at the Institute of Information Studies at Tallin University (2015, Estonia).
